Opening Your Heart’s Memories: Romantic IMprov Poetry

Thanks for being/
my Muse this evening! /
I’d like to spend time, you and me,/
creating and exploring our mutual poetry!
——-
So now stand/
with open heart/
and open hands/
and desire to start/
all over again./

For the dream/
which lived long ago/
could again be seen/
if passion’s taken slow/
and gently./

Emotions which we /
deep within us carry,/
can be released./
If our passions tarry;/
they’ll often increase!/

Thus, that which was ours before/
will sprout, grow and blossom once more!

A Soccer Seat Sonnet For RSL and Section XXVI: Revolutionary IMprov Sonnet

When Dave’s seat choice is done/
it’s understood:/
There’s always fun!/
And fun is good!/

In the right section/
we can yell and scream!/
Insult goalie’s imperfection!/
and holler: “Go Team!”/

Your ticketed section/
shouldn’t impact your seat picks:/
Make a defection/
to Section Twenty-Six!/

That’s what I did!/
‘Cuz that’s where the fun is!
